Barcelona vs Sevilla 2-1 - Highlights - 04/11/2017 HD La Liga , Messi 600th match in BARCA

Spanish La Liga
Barcelona vs Sevilla
7:45pm Saturday 4th November
Camp Nou
Goals: Paco Alcacer 23' 65', Pizarro 59'
Barcelona restored their four-point lead over Valencia at the top of LaLiga by beating Sevilla, courtesy of Paco Alcacer.
Paco Alcacer made the most of a rare start as his double gave LaLiga leaders Barcelona a 2-1 home victory over Sevilla.
Alcacer, named in a league starting XI by Ernesto Valverde for the first time since the opening match of the season, scored once in each half as Barca restored their four-point lead at the top of the table after wins for title rivals Valencia and Atletico Madrid earlier on Saturday.
Guido Pizarro's headed equaliser in between Alcacer's two strikes briefly threatened a surprise result, but a draw would have flattered fifth-placed Sevilla, who have now lost four consecutive away games.
Barca have won 10 and drawn one of their first 11 league games and now sit 11 points clear of rivals Real Madrid, who are at home to Las Palmas on Sunday, in fourth.
Sevilla have now failed to win in 15 attempts at Camp Nou, losing 13 of those meetings and conceding 40 goals in the process.

PSG VS ANDERLECHT 5 : 0 HIGHLIGHTS HD 2017 CHAMPION LEAGUE MATCH LAYVIN KURZAWA NETS HAT-TRICK

PSG vs Anderlecht 5-0 Extended Highlights HD 2017

Left-back Layvin Kurzawa scored a second-half hat trick as Paris Saint-Germain crushed Anderlecht 5-0 to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League on Tuesday.

PSG, who are unbeaten this season, could have had more goals but squandered five clear scoring opportunities before Marco Verratti opened things up in the 30th minute with a well-taken effort.

Brazil star Neymar, after fluffing his earlier shots, made it 2-0 deep into first-half stoppage time with a fine strike from the edge of the penalty area.

Then it was the unheralded Kurzawa's turn to shine in a star-studded side that are desperate to prove they belong among Europe's elite after failing to go beyond the quarterfinal stage in the past five seasons.

Kurzawa added the third goal after 52 minutes, when Neymar's free kick hit the post and bounced up to him, and then scored the fourth after Neymar and countryman Dani Alves combined to set him up with a telling cross in the 72nd.

Just six minutes later, the France international drilled the ball into the bottom right corner from just inside the penalty area after substitute Angel Di Maria inadvertently rolled the ball perfectly into his path as he forayed toward goal.

"I scored thanks to my teammates," Kurzawa said. "I've gained a bit of confidence back."

PSG have won all their four matches so far in Group B -- scoring 17 goals while conceding none -- and are three points clear of Bayern Munich. The German champions joined PSG in the knockout stages after winning 2-1 away to Scottish champion Celtic.

Anderlecht lost 4-0 at home to PSG and were up against it straight away.

PSG almost scored after 33 seconds when Kylian Mbappe's defense-splitting pass presented Neymar with a good chance, but goalkeeper Frank Boeckx blocked his angled shot from the left.

Neymar missed another when casually swiping at the ball near the penalty spot from Mbappe's pass. Germany winger Julian Draxler and Mbappe had shots saved by Boeckx and top scorer Edinson Cavani headed wide from a corner -- all inside a breathless 20 minutes.

When the pressure finally told, it was a rare goal from Verratti.

Neymar and Mbappe combined, with the latter's pass finding Verratti lurking inside the left of the area. The Italy midfielder steadied himself before cutting past a defender and curling the ball into the top right corner.

Although PSG were largely untroubled, they gave the ball away carelessly several times in the first half and would doubtless have been punished for that by a better side.

RONALDO ! THE PHENOMENON GREATEST SKILLS AND GOALS EVER

Popularly dubbed "The Phenomenon", Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima is considered by many to be one of the greatest football players of all time. He is one of only four players to have won the FIFA World Player of the Year award three times or more, in that upper echelon alongside Zinedine Zidane, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. He also won the Ballon d'Or twice, in 1997 and in 2002. Considered one of the best strikers of all time, he represented Inter, Barcelona and Real Madrid during a sparkling career that came to an end in 2011, but not before 98 caps for Brazil in which he scored 62 goals and claimed his place as the second highest goalscorer his nation has ever seen.

Three-time FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldo, whose goal scoring genius led Brazil to the 2002 World Cup title, has confirmed his retirement at the age of 34.

The emotional Corinthians striker announced his decision at a press conference in Sao Paulo.

"I'm stopping my career as a professional footballer," he said, his voice breaking.

"It's been a beautiful, emotional, marvelous career.

"These last two years, I've had a long series of injuries, from one side to the other, one leg to the other, one muscle to the other.

"It's been a beautiful, emotional, marvelous career"

Ronaldo, Brazilian World Cup-winning striker

"The pain pushed me to think about the end of my career."

Ronaldo also revealed that he suffered from a thyroid problem that had made it difficult to control his weight.

"Four years ago, in Milan, I discovered that I suffered from an under-active thyroid that slowed down my metabolism and that to control it, I had to take hormones that weren't authorized in football as they were considered a form of doping," he said.

"Lots of people must regret having made jokes about my weight. But I feel no anger towards anyone."

Having earlier indicated that he hoped to play on until the end of the year, injuries and Corinthians' early elimination from the Copa Libertadores prompted him to bring forward his retirement.

When he was fit, Ronaldo was unstoppable.

Glittering spell

During a glittering 14-year spell in Europe, Ronaldo scored goals at a prolific rate for PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and AC Milan, before returning to Brazil in 2009.

He won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and became the leading scorer in World Cup finals tournaments when he scored his 15th goal at the 2006 tournament in Germany.

He was twice named European Footballer of the Year, in 1997 and 2002, and finished his international career with 62 goals in 97 appearances.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, 'El Fenomeno' (The Phenomenon) won the World Cup with Brazil for the first time in 1994, though on that occasion the 17-year-old was part of the squad and did not play.

In 1998, he was among the losing finalists, beaten 3-0 at Stade de France by a rampant French side that included the inspirational Zinedine Zidane.

Brazil's star striker suffered a convulsive fit on the eve of the match and was removed from the starting line-up.

In a dramatic changing-room re-shuffle, he was reinstated just before  kick-off but was a shadow of the intimidating forward who had scored four goals in the run-up to the final.

But the 2002 tournament was where he made history.

Key role

Shrugging off injury in the tournament, which was hosted by Japan and South Korea, he played a key role in helping Brazil to the trophy, scoring both goals in his country's 2-0 win over Germany in the final in Yokohoma.

His private life got plenty of publicity, whether he liked it or not. He first marriage was with footballer Milene Rodrigues, whose talent of keeping a ball in the air had earned her the nickname "the Queen of the Keep-ups", and they had a son, Ronald.

He later married Daniela Cicarelli at a French chateaux in 2005, but they split up three months later.

The most publicised incident came three years ago when police said Ronaldo went to a love motel in Rio de Janeiro with three call girls, only to find out they were transvestites.

"Behind the personality which I carry, I'm a normal person and I have my weaknesses and my fears," he said.
